Course Description

Like other states, Maryland has made contracting within the home improvement sector a licensed occupation. As such, it requires any individual or business selling and/or performing home improvements to be licensed by the State’s Home Improvement Commission.

To be eligible for a Home Improvement Contractor and/or Salesperson license any individual must pass an exam that tests applicants on the laws they must comply with when selling and entering into home improvement contracts, and when operating a construction business. Our Maryland Home Improvement course is designed to give those aspiring to become licensed contractors full command of the home improvement law and of other regulations related to the construction contracting business, as well as to prepare them to pass the required exam.

As a requisite, you must pass a 58 question exam about the home improvement law and other related regulations.
